C64.SK
Definitely not a retro site!

Infotext version 0.4 (updated on the 1st of July2001)

There are many interesting C64 sites containing C64 related things. One special kind of them are C64 related news servers. They write about C64 game remakes, about C64 related web pages, about new C64 related PC software and about all kind of C64 related retro activities. All in all, all those news mostly inform about IMHO vain collectorism of thousand times before collected stuff, recreation of created and recyclation of recycled.

Problem is that the so-called real C64 life happens outside the WWW, Internet, PC harddisks and emulators.

This site has a very simple purpose. It should contain news about you - people living in the scene, creating art, spending hours and days on various projects which deserve recognition. Which deserve to be spread in a good old meaning of the word spread. People visiting, organising or competing on parties. People behind the words Today’sScene. This site is for those who are interested in new things happening in the C64 area and especially for those who don’t feel retro, because they don’t need to. People with attitudes, opinions and creative minds. People who instead of collecting spend their valuable time on creating.

Simply: This site is not just a link collection to huge piles of disk images, but information and support for current projects and events.

OPEN NEWS GUEST

POST SCRIPTUM

This is a scene dedicated news portal. It should therefore contain any news related to the scene life, releases, developments and movements. Ihope it won’t contain idle news which are not concerning the C64scene suchas:

- this and that remake is under development on PC, or Console"

- local Honolulu radio is broadcasting a great SID tunes show after 2:00 AM

- Jason Different has updated his homepage containing unique collection of scans of all c64 packages 45 are still missing, rumours says that there are two never released packages partially illustrated exclusively by Becker Valejo and J.R.Giger

- Dork Dexter has released another of his original retro styled games containing wired pictures and a hundred times copied game concepts audially enhanced by beautiful ripped sid tune composed by who knows which composer
