August at c64.sk
Written by Wotnau of dMagic
???August was a real busy month at the Portal. Twenty-nine items staid in the Alpha-News. Despite people being spread all around the globe for holidays, a lot happened on the C=64.
Creativity
???TND alias Richard/Civitas made a preview of his new game Baloonacy
available to the public. Civitas released a new demo called Thief and
Crest stroke back with their Demus Interruptus. The NTSC guys pleased us
with their Odyssey Coop. Vidcom Crazy v 3.0 is on the tools side
and we were also happy to help distributing the second issue of
Attitude.
Scene Buzz
???Assembly and Core (minireport comming soon – CreaMD) were
two nice parties, we brought you the releases and some closer information
on the particular happenings at the events.
Society
???The nicest news from the sceners' life was about Steve Judd, also
known as Wyndex, who is the maintainer of The Fridge. He got married. All
the best from the c64.sk staff! The magazine Digital Talk celebrated its
fiftieth issue. And Anubis, the Czech Republic based group, held their regular
Monastery Party. Nice to see that the group meeting tradition in the
scene is growing stronger again. You can still see the photos and get the files
they made public. Also, GrandDaddy ReUnion 2001 took place.
Gonna go over there?
???Still going to happen are: the Minigame Compo (deadline coming
close!), Symphony 2001, Willow Party and Phat1.
???If anything above tickled your curious bone don't hesitate and browse through our August archive to get more info and/or download the files. And by the way: have a nice September.
