 The SEUCK Vault - updated 30th July 2010 01:23
The SEUCK Vault is opening its doors once more to admit more C64 games. With July’s earlier update taking us to 40 Amiga creations, this new batch means there are over 200 C64 games, demos and animations made with Sensible Software’s utility in our collection.

New this time:

- Frank Gasking’s workdisks recovered, with 8 new games and a previously unseen end sequence for Cybernator
- Two more games from Bamse
- Car Wars and its sequel
- Kill Hill tape version with loading screen by Richard Bayliss

Next update will be early September with lots more Amiga games, and an Atari ST section to be added soon.

 CBM-Command 1.6 Released - All users should upgrade 04:32
There is a major bug in the way that CBM-Command handles batches of file that are selected using the select all hotkey that can cause directory corruption. Please discard any version older than 7/26/2010 (Version 1.6) and update to Version 1.6!

     Updated: 1541 Ultimate-II V2.0 Firmware 00:38
The firmware of the 1541 Ultimate-II got updated. Since the launch of this great C64 cartridge there where some firmware bugs concerning:

  • bricking the device when setting the date
  • bricking the device using custom cartridge images etc.

The RC5 release of the V2.0 beta firmware should solve all of the above.

     Games That Weren’t update 22:13
GTW64 has just added the long lost spectrum conversion of Deathstalker, a Codemasters game from 1989. This game unfortunately never got fully completed due to memory issues and inexperience of the developer at the time.

As well as this game, the developer’s other title: Drax - Evilblood has also been added. Check them out at:

     CBM-Command 1.0.2 - VIC 20 and Plus 4 Support 22:27
    http://cbmcommand.codeplex.com/releases/view/48670

    New Features
    * Added support for Commodore Plus 4 computer
    Changes
    * (VIC20) Refactored many of the screens to better fit the 22x23
    layout.
    * (VIC20) Filename shortening removed and the file type moved to the
    left of the directory display
    * (PLUS4) Created color scheme to match the environment
    Known Issues
    * (VIC20) Many of the keyboard shortcuts on the left side of the
keyboard do not work under VICE. After speaking with members of the
VICE team they are pretty sure this is a problem in the GETIN kernel
routine which is used by cc65. I would greatly appreciate it if
someone with a real VIC can verify that the keys do not work on real
hardware before I bring the problem up in the cc65 forums.
    * (VIC20) I still haven’t figured out why saving the configuration
    doesn’t work. :(
