Scene Objectives:

My scene objective is to concentrate mainly on C64 game projects, although occasionally create some utilities and demos. - Oh and cut down on the stupidity of lameness for the scene. I.e. taking the cracking scene too serious, like Urine, etc :)

Generally I create C64 productions as a hobby, because I really enjoy the programming side of the C64. Not only that. I also enjoy the music side of the C64.

Another scene objective is to make some more friends with other sceners around the CSDB or elsewhere. Try to be more helpful and friendly. And to stop releasing cracks of my own work under some group labels :)

Richard

[3] : 02. Mar 2004 10:01
My scene objectives involve a woman of possibly dubious repute, a tub of swarfega, a nurse’s uniform, nipple clamps and a two gallon vat of custard.

[4] : 02. Mar 2004 10:15
Actually I think Richard’s scene objectives and yours aren’t that different
Tdj

[5] : 02. Mar 2004 11:00
Richard don’t spam every possible forum everytime someone accuess you of anything concerning you. If you want to react, then ask Vandalism News to publish your official reactions on accusations. Thinking of that, they should have asked you for reaction in the first place ;-).

adef!

[7] : 02. Mar 2004 11:55
Well, could have been better to think in the first place, what was the aim of that "shock news" thing, and if you intended to keep its promise.. Or to stop posting any statements altogether and concentrate on the productions..

Funny virus: Hello user of C64.sk e-mail server,

Our main mailing server will be temporary unavaible for next two days, to continue receiving mail in these days you have to configure our free auto-forwarding service.

Further details can be obtained from attached file.

For security reasons attached file is password protected. The password is "43826".

Sincerely,

The C64.sk team         http://www.c64.sk I didn’t open the zip, why should I? I didn’t send it ;-)

Further info about the virus. It was sent by the computer from poland. It has the same IP as user who visited this page today (3. march) on 00:44 AM and 10:01 AM at this IP: 80.72.37.2 / gravity.nitronet.pl Poland

Bit similar how some spammer(s) (judging from the bounces I get) sends viruses/shit using my faked email addr. to for example vice-devel mailing list, so seems they’re scary in their skill of making right connections :)

[14] : 03. Mar 2004 22:49
[171] Funny, I had the same email, but it was as a different service.
Richard

[15] : 04. Mar 2004 01:07
Well, we’ve got ourselves a little trojan here... and a funny one, too. I received the same e-mail, but signed with ’the future-press.com team’. Now that mail almost worked, if it weren’t for the fact that *I* am the future-press.com team... and I sure as hell don’t remember sending that one out :)
Vip

[16] : 04. Mar 2004 01:38
It’s a little bit of social engineering i think, possibly reading organisation lines from headers and trying to pass itself off perhaps?

[17] : 04. Mar 2004 08:51
Yeah, I got the same kind of virus sent to an email account where I am part of the administration. Interestingly enough, this message _also_ seemed to origin from the same Polish machine as CreaMD mentioned above. Either the IP is spoofed, or that someone is a C= community member who have become infected.

How to post directly in the related news about my newest C64 infamy, which is so crappy (With loosy collision check), that it doesn’t deserve much attention?

[38] : 18. Mar 2004 10:46
Put it into news. We’ll manage the rest. It’s just one click for editors to put it into related news. And we don’t mind to have actual *new release* news in main news it’s much worse to get "i have new website" ones.
CreaMD

There are a couple of total commander plugins which basically do the same (show you the contents of the .d64 file), however they’re still very undeveloped

tdj, totalcommander shows me the contant of a .d64 by default, as it’s recognized as a standard packed file .. yet it also tends to crash on an irregular basis when i do that. =)

Just got back from Forever 5! The party was simply great! Congratulations to organisers for this great event!!!

[51] : 21. Mar 2004 16:55
does anybody know the results?
nightlord

[52] : 21. Mar 2004 16:57
Don’t know all the results yet. Only remember this. 1st place gfx Leon. 1st place msx Jammer, 2nd - SAD, 3rd - Orcan. Demo. 1st - Exon, 2nd - Civitas, 3rd - Resource (one-parter).
CreaMD

[53] : 21. Mar 2004 16:59

[64] : 22. Mar 2004 14:19
when is wotnau’s report planned to be published?
nightlord

[65] : 22. Mar 2004 14:21
He promised to finish it during this week (or sooner). So answer is. In about a week.
CreaMD

[66] : 22. Mar 2004 14:54
Okay, so I got no answer from Ed/Wrath Designs on my E-mail concerning his music. So here comes my apology. I forgot to transfer his compo tune which I?ve received as last (on friday) onto the compo-disk and only found out too late (when I returned back home and arranged the release disk). This caused that his tune wasn?t presented in the Forever5 music compo. Sorry for this faux-pas, Ed. Mea Culpa.
CreaMD

[67] : 22. Mar 2004 15:59
Thank you CreaMD that you allowed our fake zak :)
Sidder

[68] : 22. Mar 2004 16:09
Concerning the results textfile: 9th place in the music compo is missing author’s name (Asterion). By the way, shame that his tune got such a low place. (Ein Jammer, really... :D)
Randall

[69] : 22. Mar 2004 16:47
Sidder. Oh shuddup! ;-/ Now how I look when I put evident fake tune into the compo and forget to transfer the real contribution. You don’t make it easier for me.
CreaMD

[70] : 23. Mar 2004 11:54
CreaMD >> you can call our fake zak as ’tribiute to...’. In this case it`s almost the same :)
Sidder/MSL/Role

[71] : 23. Mar 2004 17:33
TriBUte, Sidziu.
Randall

[72] : 24. Mar 2004 12:40
Randall: Yep, shame on me, I prepared the results file. BTW I voted Dance of the... pretty high, but you know how it is at parties: 50% of the visitors are techno lovers, and the other 50% vote for their friends. ;) It was really interesting to read certain votesheets. (CreaMD, please if not yet, add Asterion to the results file).
Wotnau

[73] : 24. Mar 2004 12:45
Nightlord + everyone else interested: I hereby commit to submitting the party report to CreaMD as a pure .txt (maybe with some basic html formatting) by Friday, 23:59. So if CreaMD isn’t really too busy, it should appear on the site during weekend. I hope you’ll find the result worth the waiting.
Wotnau

[74] : 24. Mar 2004 14:45
Great tune, Randall! Reminds me of, erm, Seeds 2.0 by the Roots. Or maybe it’s just my musical fantasy... ;-)

[75] : 24. Mar 2004 22:47
maybe your just a musical pervert :)
fade

[76] : 25. Mar 2004 00:33
Never mind, Fade. It was something like an inside joke between me and Randall. ;-)
