We are pleased to announce the 3rd edition of our RetroKomp GameDev Competition. Previous successful editions in 2013 and 2015 brought the retrocomputing world a whole a lot of new gaming pleasure including Tanks Furry (Amiga, released in the box in 2016), Krunel (ZX) or The Wizard (NES), CBM Asteroids (C64) and Petscii-Poker (C64).

If you happen to be working on a game for any major retro hardware platform at the moment, why not to make it the part of the compo?

The final deadline for submitting entries is set to 10th September 2016 at 23:59 hours. We accept remote entries.

What about to make a new game for C64 or other Commodore computer?

High Voltage SID Collection: Update #65
Date: July 12, 2016

After this update, the collection should contain 48,516 SID files!

This update features (all approximates):
1022 new SIDs
811 fixed/better rips
24 repeats/bad rips eliminated
791 SID credit fixes
143 SID model/clock infos
59 tunes from /DEMOS/UNKNOWN/ identified
1 tunes from /GAMES/ identified
70 tunes moved out of /DEMOS/ to their composers’ directories
4 tunes moved out of /GAMES/ to their composers’ directories

It’s been a long time, yet it seems only yesterday! HVSC was born exactly 20
years ago today, from the ashes of the NemeSIDs collection with the aim to
make an even better organized collection, and consisted of only 4175 files.
The project grew so much, with both the effort of rippers always searching
for old missing tunes and the countless musicians still showing love for the
unique feeling SID music gives: there are new tunes being made every day!
For this special update, we are not only proud to announce that another
milestone of 48,000+ tunes has been reached, but we felt also the need to
produce a music disk with EXCLUSIVE content to celebrate 20 HVSC birthdays.
Thanks to everyone involved and keep on SID-ding!

A brand new version of C64 Intros Reorganizer is available.

This script copies or moves the intros available from http://intros.c64.org to a folder structure that is more convenient when using a 1541Ultimate or other C64 storage solution. Also emulation users can benefit from it.

I’ve revised the previous Remember D81 collection, deleting matching entries, adding a few more, and general fixing of mistakes! It is about 98% complete, this is my final update on it. It is a collection of most single file cracks from the Remember group. Also included is some CRT images with plenty of games, for the Easyflash.

This project is inactive for years now, but never officially abandoned.

APPSnTOOLSbase64 is a GameBase collection of C64 software not covered by GameBase64 and DemoBase64, so it’s mainly a collection of productivity software and utilities.
