| DualSID-PCBs - Transistors mounted in wrong direction |
01:32 |
Tomi has been found out that probably on all DS-boards the transistor (Q1) soldered the wrong direction!
"Its facing the wrong way. It should be facing away
from the PCB. Not like in the print on the PCB but the other way around."
Funny that nobody noticed yet-so please do not blame Tomi, im sure he is embarrased enough :)
Tomi says: "Luckily the circuit works even with the transistor backwards, but it is recommended to change it facing out of the PCB."
Well, with me everything is fine now (left channel was louter than right)...so off to the soldering iron and turn your transistors!

The disk for the nonexistant issue did survive though, and here you go: A fast paced action game where you must defend a military base from increasingly faster waves of enemy warships. | C64List 3.0 - Now with 1 6510 Assembler |
02:16 |
C64List is a great cross-development tool for writing BASIC programs without line numbers.
Now with the release of v3.0, you can add assembly code at the end and make calls into the ML code from BASIC using the symbols in the assembly code. C64List will automatically generate the BASIC PRG file, along with assembling the ML - all in the same file so you only need to load one program.

After the recently released firmware 2.4 there is now an update to version 2.4A. In the 1541ultimate.net forum users have reported that when executing a cartridge image, the C64 freezes. Let’s hope that this error has been corrected as well. Registered users can download the new firmware from 1541ultimate.net. Source: www.mingos-commodorepage.com

| EasyProg 1.6.3 and EF3-Menu released |
00:18 |
EasyProg 1.6.3 and EF3-Menu 1.0.4 arrived: https://bitbucket.org/skoe/easyflash/downloads
Changes for EasyProg: Version 1.6.3 - 07.01.2012 - New Feature: Erase KERNAL/AR/SS5
- Torture Test fixed
- When a slot is erased, the slot name is erased too (same for KERNALs)
- Slot number is a part of the address if there is more then one slot, e.g. 01:23:0:1200 for slot 1, bank $23, ROML, offset $1200
And in the EF3-Menu: Version 1.0.3 - 07.01.2012 - Contains EasyProg 1.6.3
- Menu entries are also greyed out if the slot contains a torture test pattern
If you want to update your EasyFlash3, it is very easy this time: Simply flash ef3-menu-1.0.4.crt into Slot 0 (System Area). Reset. Done. This only replaces the menu and EasyProg. Nothing else is deleted or altered (it should not, at least ;) )
