C64.sk’s SID Compo #7 Starting today and ending on Monday, November 5th 2007, 23:55.

Rules: As usual. Tunes will be published on-fly and anonymously. No covers or remixes are allowed. No pure „digi“ tunes are allowed. You are allowed to use samples for sounds (we, however, reserve the right not to accept such tune in case we don’t find it inappropriate (no spread guaranteed)). We preffer tunes submitted as .SID files in two versions (credited and clean), that will save us some work when putting the tunes online. Please provide following info: TUNE NAME, AUTHOR NAME/GROUP(S), SID VERSION (OLD/NEW), DURATION, AUTHOR COMMENT. The final music packs will be published in two versions: a zipped collection of SIDs, and a D64 with executables.

USER voting: For the first time (in history of SID compos) we introduce the „on-fly“ voting. Over are the times of time-consuming final voting sessions which (I believe) some of you had seriously invested into this compo. This time we introduce the most comfortable, straightforward and enjoyable solution to the problem. Every user who will decide to participate in the voting will register using his E-mail address on which (except of future tons of penis enlargement and viagra spam*) he will receive a unique personalised link which will give him access to his personal voting and music commenting interface where his votes and thougts will be stored online and editable whenever he wishes. Voter can register anytime during the compo.

JURY voting: No changes. Every participating musician will choose his personal top ten (with comments) from which we will compile the Jury rank.

The organiser(s): No suprises. As you might have already known. All that „we“ stuff is here just for the sake of giving this announcement the more official touch. The compo is organised by creamd@c64.sk and the fact that he is speaking about himself in third person isn’t the mark of mental ilness (at least he hopes so).
